Department of Law

The Department of Law was established in the year 2015.

At present the college is conducting two Programmes for law :

  • B.A. LL.B. (5 year integrated course)
  • LL.B. (3 years degree course)

Eligibility:-

  • 5 years Integrated Degree Course (B.A.LL.B.)
    10+2 Examination or equivalent 45% for General & OBCs 40% for SC/ST.
    Age limit 20 years for general and 22 years for SC/ST/OBC.

  • 3 years Degree Course (LL.B.)
    Graduation in any discipline 45% for General & OBCs 40% for SC/ST.
    Age limit 30 years for general and 35 years for SC/ST/OBC.

Departmental Activities

A workshop on Human Rights on the occasion of Human Rights Day is organised by Sri Sathya Sai College of Law for Women in collaboration with Education Department, on 5th December 2016. In place of 10th December we have organised on 5th due to exam of our B.A.LL.B students.
Dr. Anju Bajpai (Head of the Department Law) welcomed all the Hon’ble guests. Principal Dr. Sudha Pathak gave a floral welcome to the chief guest Hon’ble Justice Shri N.K. Jain. After that keynote address was delivered by Dr. B.P. Tiwari then the chief guest Hon’ble Justice Shri N.K. Jain addressed the delegates of workshop on the ‘Human Rights of Common man’. He shared his experiences in this area. Dr. Sadhna Anath (Head of the Dept. of Education) gave vote of thanks.
Our other Hon’ble guests Shri Radha Vallabh Sharma & Dr. Gyanvardhan Pathak were also present.

Workshop on Cyber Crimes, Cyber Security and IT Laws

A workshop on Cyber crime and cyber law was organised by Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Law Department and Computer Department on 30th Jan 2017. This was the first programme organised in new auditorium.

Lamp lighting was done by Dr. Asha Agrawal (Vice-Principal) and Er Yashdeep Chaturvedi, CEO of Cyber Law Pioneers. Inaugural speech was given by Dr. Abhilasha Kumar, HOD, Computer Department.

Er. Yashdeep Chaturvedi deliverd a lecture on understanding Cyber Crime and Cyber Laws, Cyber Crime against person, property and against institution. Other forms of Cyber Crimes, offices and punishment defined under IT Act 2008 with case study, cyber crime against women i.e. stalking, defamation, cyber bullying, social networking attacks, cyber security solutions and IPR’s laws in India, basics of copyright, trademark and patent.

Mr. Amit discussed about computer forensics and cyber crime investigation, forensic techniques & tools. He explained how to calculate hash value.

Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Anju Bajpai, HOD, Law Department. 100 students of various department and all faculties of both the department attend the workshop. Certificates were given to the students.

A 4-day training programme on “Skill Development” was organized for the students of Law in association with Endeavour Coaching Institute from 24th to 28th March 2017 under the UGC, career guidance and training plan.
