Above saying of Bhagwan aba reflects the essential role of continuous learning and skill development, particularly in a field like Computer Science and Applications. This saying justifies the mission of the department by emphasizing the importance of actively building, refining, and updating one's skills in a technology-driven world.

In Computer Science and Applications, theoretical understanding must be complemented by practical skills. Neglecting practical knowledge (or "killing" one’s hands-on skills) would upset the balance, leaving students ill-prepared for real-world challenges. The department, therefore, emphasizes a balance that includes both theoretical foundations and practical applications, ensuring that students are well-rounded. With this commitment, by the grace of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Department of Computer Science and Applications came into existence in the year 1991.
