Departmental Activities (2016-17):

July 2016

Orientation program for B.Ed. students was organized on 1st July 2016, on the commencement of their new session. Principal Dr. Sudha Pathak addressed the students. Dr. Sadhana Ananth welcomed the students and made them aware about the rules and regulations of the college. All the Faculty members attended the programme.

August 2016

Dr. Anita Awasthy of education department gave the practice of veda chanting with correct pronunciation on 11th August 2016 at common assembly. 

A competition was organized by the students of education department on 13th August which was related to national songs and slogans on the occasion of Independence day. Hema Pahuja and Ankita Awasthy got first position in this competition.

Rakhi making workshop was organized by the students with the help of pidilite company on 16th August 2016.

On 17th August education department organized mehndi competition in which Ekta Malviya got first position.


September 2016


Teacher’s Day was celebrated by the students. Principal,Vice-Principal and all the teachers attended the programme.

A three days workshop was organized by education department related to meditation on 15, 16 and 17th September, which was conducted by smt. Ragini Mathur and group from heartfulness. Principal, Vice-Principal and all the teachers and students were present on this occasion.

On 28th  September Dr. C. Shobha Rao of education department gave a lecture on life of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and objectives & functions of sri sathya sai seva organization.

October 2016

On 3rd, 4th, 5th October, the Education Department organized a workshop for the decorations of Diya, wall hanging and flower pot with the help of Mrs. Preeti Lal (Craft Instructor) of Pidilite Company.

Practice Teaching /Internship started in the month of October 2016 which lasted upto mid – January 2017.

On 21st October, a role play was performed by the B.Ed. girls in the four days  spiritual camp, under the direction of Dr. Anita Awasthy, of the education department.

November 2016

On 19th and 20th November Dr. Anita Awasthy Participated in the two-day International Veda workshop at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.

December 2016

On 2 December  the students of the Department of Education presented a Saraswati Vandana in the Convocation of Bhoj Open University, under the direction of Dr. Anita Awasthy.

On December 5, a workshop on human rights was organized in collaboration with the Education and Law Department. Justice Mr. N. K. Jain was the  Chief Speaker.

On December 7, Prerna Nerkar of education department, presented her views on "Gender Equality is not morality right it is a pivotal to human progress for sustainable development" at the debate contest held at Sant Hirdaram Women's College.

From September 2016 to January 2017 All students of the third semester of education department completed their 16 weeks internship/practice teaching under the teachers-training program. Apart from teaching, students actively participated in all activities related to the school like – Morning Assembly, Baal-Sabha, Cultural Programs, Art and Craft, Preparation of Question Paper, Examination Supervision, Correction of Copy, engaging of free period etc.

January 2017

On 12th January 2017 Dr. Shobhana Shrivastav, of Education department delivered a lecture on ‘Mental Health' in the workshop organized for the students of guidance and counseling at Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal.

February 2017

On 16 February 2017, Dr. Geeta Gupta of Education Department  submitted her MRP, Approved by UGC. The topic of the research was – “To Study The Academic Stress Of Class 12th Students Of Bhopal City.”

March 2017

On 11th March, the students of B.Ed. department chanted Vedas and presented a play on ‘Guru Mahima’  in the national workshop on ‘Human Values and Education’ under the guidance of Dr. Anita Awasthy of education department. In this occasion a short animation movie named ‘Cheppinattu Chestara’ was shown to the participants.

On 20, 21, 22 March, a three day workshop was conducted by Mrs. Preeti Lal on behalf of Pidilite Company. In this, Girls of B. Ed. second semester were taught to decorate the pooja thali, flower pot and gond painting on canvas.

April 2017

On 20th April, Dr. Geeta Gupta of Education Faculty, went to take interview of B.Ed Teachers under code-28 of Barkatullah University.

On 22nd April a farewell party was organised by the students of second semester for the students of fourth semester. In this, Priya Pavaiya of 4th semester was awarded ‘Miss B.Ed.(Miss Ananya).’ In this ocassion students also organised dance, quiz and antakshri.

On 27th April, the students of B.Ed. 2nd semester presented Veda-chanting, folk-songs, dance and drama as a part of their syllabus (Drama and Art in Education).

On 28th April, Dr. Sadhana Ananth, Head of the Education Department was appointed as External for the Pre-Viva of B.Ed. students at AISECT University, Bhopal.

From 28th April to 3rd May Group-wise PPT presentation of different states under ‘Drama and Art in Education’ was done by the students of B.Ed. second semester. The students dressed in attire of that state presented Dance and songs along with their presentation. The cuisine of that state were also served.

May 2017

On 3rd May, Dr. Nityanand  Pradhan, Principal, Regional College of Education, Bhopal visited the exhibition organized by the students  of the second semester under the Drama and Art in Education. He also appreciated the teaching aids prepared by the students of B.Ed. fourth semester during their internship.
