The Department of Physics, established in 1981, is equipped with advanced facilities in various branches of physics, including electrical, optical, and mechanical systems. Departmental Activities:

 

Educational Visit at IISER Bhopal Organised by the Department of Physics on 09 Oct 24. Student visited UG Lab and Robotics Lab. Students have attended a lecture given by the Professor Ajit Patra on research project running in IISER.

 

Department of Physics has organised a Speech & Painting competition on 1st, Oct 2024 in association with National Fertilizer Limited, Bhopal, M.P..In this programme 50 students are participated. The theme of the competition *Theme of the competition was "Culture of Integrity for Nation's prosperity"*

 

In the month of February, by Department of Physics organised a guest Lecture on the topic of "Michelson Interferometer experiment" by Dr. Shivali Verma dated 20-Feb-24

 

In the month of July, Dr. Archana Srivastava organised a workshop on 5.7.22 on “Use of Flat Interactive Panel for Teaching Learning” and “Use of Library as Knowledge Recourse” in association with Nexus-Global Company from Pune.

 

Dr. Archana Srivastava organised a two days camp cum training workshop on “Voter Awareness and adding new Voters to the Voter list” using National Voters Service Portal and its “Voter Helpline” App in collaboration with Election Commission of India on 14-15th Oct’22.

 

In the month of May’22 Dr. Amrita Jain, Senior Researcher, IFR Research Institute, Warsaw, Poland visited the department on 4.5.22 and interacted with the students regarding career in material science research in European counties, especially Poland.

 

20.8.20- Department organised an international conference on ‘Supercapacitors’ by Dr. Amrita Jain of Poland University institute, Poland.

 

Department organised a Poster and Model competition and Exhibition by students of B.Sc. I and II yr on science day (28.2.21).
