Dr. (Mrs.) Meena Pimpalapure, the Trustee, of Sri Sathya Sai Trust M.P. and C.G. is the Chairman of the Institution and the Governing Body of Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Bhopal since June 2014. She was born on 7th October 1938 and belongs to Sagar, M.P. She has been a meritorious student all through and recipient of Acharya Nand Dulare Bajpeyi Gold Medal. After completing her Post Graduation in Hindi Literature in first division, she pursued her Doctorate on “Portrayal of Women in the Writings of Mohan Rakesh”. She was awarded Ph. D in 1984.

Being a scholar, she has many publications to her credit including “Mohan Rakesh ka Nari-Sansar” and Articles in Rose Souvenirs and Magazines both National and International. She has also contributed in Journals through her papers on Welfare of Women and Children, Literacy Campaign and Women Empowerment.
She has also delivered lectures on various topics at Academic Staff College, Sagar University and Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy Sagar. She has also been the part of various Talk Shows on Akashwani.
She has widely travelled through Europe, America, Asia, U.K. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South America, Middle East, China with the objectives of socio-cultural and environmental awareness. She has actively participated in various National and International Seminars and conferences related to Women Empowerment and spreading Rose-Culture among masses. She has also been part of International Alliance of Women Triennial Congress at Athens, Kolkata, New York, Sri Lanka, Tel Aviv, Malmo and Germany. She acted as jury for the trial rounds of Rose Shows both national and international and has participated in Conventions of World Federation of Rose Societies at Australia, Milan, Brussels, Houston, Cape Town, Buenos Aires and Japan.
She has also been a successful Business Woman. Being married in a business family, she looked after business activities and after her husband’s demise , she is efficiently controlling and managing all the business operations
Apart from this, she is actively and sincerely working for the upliftment of women and children; environment and society through various academic and socio-cultural organisations for the past three decades.
